It is a story of grit, improvisation, mother-led determination, stitched-together ecosystems of artisans, and an unshakeable belief that the Indian customer deserves fashion that keeps pace with global trends.
When brothers Sanjay Arora and Sachin Arora opened their first small store in West Delhi back in 2004, they weren't just launching a business; they were unknowingly setting the stage for a retail success story. Today, Stelatoes Shoes & Accessories stands tall as one of India's most influential and fashion-forward footwear chains, proving that big dreams often start with a modest storefront and a whole lot of ambition. What began as a necessity born out of financial circumstances and guided by the instincts of their mother, the late Mrs. Lajwanti Arora, has today evolved into an empire crafting the pulse of Indian fashion footwear.
The Stelatoes' story is stitched from an unusual combination of urgency and creativity. Fresh out of college and looking for stable jobs, Sanjay and Sachin were forced to rethink their options due to financial constraints. They chose entrepreneurship, specifically footwear retail, because their mother believed in the business and had built an intuitive understanding of how Indian shoppers think.
