In a candid conversation with our editor Dr Khooshi Gurubhai she shared her wonderful journey and more on destiny playing its role moreover how it took a turn from a corporate job in Australia to a global crush singer from SriLanka and now working for her dream with T-Series India's No.1 Music label company as they believe in bringing world close together through its music. YOHANI AS A CHILD...

As a child I’ve always been in to adventures. Trying everything and anything that came my way. From sports such as swimming, water polo Wushu to being the western band in my school.

Today’s Yohani

Today I still seek adventure. But more towards learning specific skills that requires to better my art. And I see myself as a person who would do whatever I want whenever I want to.

Journey from a corporate job to a renowned singer as global youth icon…

Journey has been crazy with lots of ups and downs. I enjoy that at the chore, something I never thought of but I got it (she smiles). Its two completely different lives. Both has its advantages and disadvantages. But when I come to music, I find it more rewarding in-terms of expressing myself and being more free. 

Why you choose to be a singer.

I can tell you many things like it’s my passion, making an audience feel my emotion. But the main reason was that a lot of people said I wouldn’t make it in this career. I just wanted to prove them wrong. We all have equal potential to aim our goals, and that’s what I tried and still trying to give my 100%.
