The story of N°5 begins with Gabrielle Chanel and her vision to reimagine perfumery for women.

As the story goes, perfumer Ernest Beaux presented Mademoiselle with a lineup of samples, and among them, she chose the fifth — number five, her lucky number. Whether by superstition or intuition, this aldehyde-floral scent went on to become a cultural and feminine phenomenon.
