Matthew Goode plays a brash but brilliant detective, DCI Carl Morck, tasked with investigating some of Edinburgh's darkest cold cases in Netflix's new crime drama Dept. Q.

The nine-parter begins with Carl's world falling apart following a shooting that leaves his police partner paralysed and a young officer dead. In the months after the incident, a traumatised Carl is exiled to the police station's basement, where he finds himself the sole member of Dept. Q, a new unit charged with solving the city's unsolved cases.
