A comedian gets an unsettling surprise after he invites a stranger into his home in one-off drama A Knock at the Door.

In the third instalment in 5’s revival of the Play for Today anthology, Alan Davies plays reclusive star Lenny Bray, who lives in a swanky London house with his psychotherapist wife Maggie (Nikki Amuka-Bird). A potential media scandal involving Lenny is causing tension between them, although he insists he is being framed.

Events take a dark turn when young pizza delivery man Ben (Logan Mersh) collapses on their doorstep, claiming to have been attacked. As Lenny and Maggie try to help, they end up trapped in their home – what is Ben’s real reason for being there?
