Sir David Attenborough presents a rallying cry to save our oceans in his visually stunning new film Ocean, released to mark his 99th birthday last month.

Featuring remarkable camera sequences of spotted dolphins, colourful clownfish and humpback whales and set against a score by Oscar-winning Gravity composer Steven Price, the movie broke box-office records for a nature documentary when it was released in cinemas earlier this year.

The one-off film reveals some extraordinary scientific discoveries, like how 2,000 new marine species are found each year and how plankton absorbs vast amounts of carbon emissions. Yet, no matter how special or important they are, our oceans are in crisis.
