It’s time to say ‘G’day’ to Australian cop DI Mackenzie Clarke as the latest Death in Paradise spin-off, Return to Paradise, comes to BBC1.
Filmed in Sydney and on Australia’s Illawarra coast, the six-part crime drama sees Mackenzie, played by Anna Samson, return to her home town, Dolphin Cove, after being accused of tampering with evidence while working for London’s Metropolitan Police.
‘I’m pleased as punch to be playing the first female lead in the franchise, but it was also incredibly surreal and nerve-racking,’ explains Samson, 34, best known as
