Lord Alan Sugar celebrates The Apprentice's 20th anniversary with the biggest series yet
When The Apprentice launched in 2005, the cut-throat TV competition chaired by the then-Sir Alan Sugar instantly won a loyal audience with its larger-than-life contestants who were always willing to give 110%. This week, the show celebrates its landmark 20th season in style by sending 20 candidates – more than ever before - to Hong Kong, where they're tasked with a treasure hunt across the bustling city.
'The thinking behind it was to do something different for the 20th series because it's an amazing milestone,' says Lord Sugar, 78. 'Hong Kong is my old hunting ground, so I jump on a plane and surprise them. They come into the boardroom and there I am.'
