ED SHEERAN CONFIRMS NEW PUNJABI COLLAB WITH KARAN AUJLA
Ed Sheeran — the British pop artist who has just released his new album Play - made another case for his Indophile credentials when he announced in a Sep. 17 appearance on BBC Asian Network with Nikita Kanda that he's working with Punjabi star Karan Aujla. He said in the interview, “The first time I sang in Punjabi was doing ‘Lover’. Diljit [Dosanjh] was teaching, and then obviously doing it with Arijit [Singh, on their song ‘Sapphire’]. And I've just done a tune with Karan Aujla as well, where we've done like a little bit of that,” he said casually, hinting at the scale of the track. With a music video shot in New York, Sheeran hinted that this massive collab is due in October.
