Wendy Williams Calls Treatment Facility a 'Prison'

Wendy Williams wants out of her guardianship. In her first interview since her team announced her aphasia and dementia diagnoses last February, Williams, 60, refuted their claim Jan. 16 on Charlamagne Tha God's The Breakfast Club radio show, saying, "I am not cognitively impaired."

The former daytime talk show host, who entered a wellness facility in September 2022 to manage her overall health issues following the end of The Wendy Williams Show, said she feels "isolated" living in a New York City treatment center under her court-appointed guardianship. "I feel like I am in prison," said Williams, who asked fans to sign a change.org petition to support her release. "This system is broken."
