Mandira Bedi still remembers the searing heat of a day she had to shoot in Bhuj - not just because of the temperature, but also because of what she had to stand on: a rubber tyre. There was no stage, no canopy, and certainly no comfort - just Mandira, the sun overhead, and the tyre, with her legs sweating like never before. “It was so hot,” she laughed, recalling the moment. “I could literally feel the soles of my shoes starting to melt.” She could have complained. Many would have. But she chose gratitude instead. “Right then, I thought - how many people get to say they stood on tyres and spoke about them? That's my story. That's my moment.” The audience erupted with laughter - and admiration. It was classic Mandira: fierce, funny and full of heart.
