The founder of Wisdom Fragrances speaks to Kalwyna Rathod about her journey and what keeps her going

Sheetal Desai grew up in a family deeply immersed in the world of fragrance; her earliest lessons in perfumery were at her father's essential oils lab. There, she learned to blend by instinct rather than instruction, gaining hands-on exposure that laid the foundation for a lifelong relationship with scent. "My journey with fragrances began nearly three decades ago, long before perfumery became a mainstream passion in India," she reveals. "I started at the age of nine in my father's office - smelling essential oils and experimenting with blends just for fun. What began as childhood playtime soon became a lifelong pursuit of crafting experiences through the invisible language of fragrance."
