1. Paschimottanasana Or Forward Bend Pose
This yoga pose effectively relieves stress and normalises high blood pressure. It also burns fat in the abdominal region.
Steps
- Sit erect on the floor with legs stretched out in front and toes flexed towards you.
- Inhale as you raise your arms over your head and stretch.
- Exhale as you bend forward; move your chin towards your toes and feel the fold at your hip joint.
- Stretch your arms as far as they can go - if possible, till the toes.
- Inhale as you lift your head slightly and stretch your spine.
- Exhale as you move your navel towards your knees.
