Radha Bahin Bhatt has spent over seven decades serving women, protecting forests, and nurturing rural and hill-communities in Uttarakhand.

Born in 1931 in Dhurka village near Almora, Radha Bahin Bhatt joined the Gandhian ashram of Sarla Behn in Kausani in the early 1950s. In 2025 she received the prestigious Padma Shri for her lifelong work in social service and environmental protection.
