GatesAir Appoints Tamjeed Ahmad as Regional Sales Manager to Boost South Asia Presence

With nearly 20 years in the broadcast industry, including 15 years in direct sales across South Asia, Tamjeed’s past roles at AJA Video Systems and Imagine Communications equip him to navigate the diverse business cultures of the region.

His appointment coincides with a surge in new business opportunities in India, particularly with the Government of India’s recent announcement of the e-Auction of private FM channels. This initiative will introduce up to 730 FM channels in 234 “Tier II/III cities,” extending private FM services to many rural areas for the first time, necessitating new or upgraded RF infrastructure.
