In a groundbreaking collaboration, Blackmagic Design and RKM Studios have brought their creative expertise together to elevate the feature film “I’m Totally Fine” to new heights. With the help of DaVinci Resolve Studio editing, grading, VFX, and audio post-production software, the film’s director, Brandon Dermer, and cinematographer, Wojciech Kielar, joined forces with colorist Ryan McNeal to create a visually stunning masterpiece that captivates audiences from start to finish.
“I’m Totally Fine” tells the captivating story of Vanessa, a woman who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after the loss of her best friend, Jennifer. However, Vanessa’s plans take an unexpected turn when she discovers Jennifer standing in her kitchen, claiming to be an extraterrestrial. The film, starring talented actresses Jillian Bell and Natalie Morales, is now exclusively available on the popular Hulu streaming service.
The production of “I’m Totally Fine” presented a unique set of challenges, as it was shot in just 10 days during the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the limitations, the filmmakers were determined to deliver a visually stunning experience to their viewers. Early on, Dermer and Kielar collaborated with McNeal to establish the film’s look and visual style, ensuring a seamless integration of emotions and storytelling.
