"Being a part of the Sindhi immigrant community in the 80s was a huge inspiration for me," says Minneapolis-based entrepreneur Aneela Idhani. Most of them came to the States with nothing. They took that nothing and turned it into wealth and then started to give back to society through non-profits." Inspired by the people around her, the accounting graduate shares that she always wanted to run her own business while also helping people. Today, she is known for pioneering a one-of-its-kind solution for anyone suffering from body focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs). BFRB is an umbrella term for impulse control behaviours including hair pulling (trichotillomania), nail biting, and skin picking (dermatillomania). Having suffered from trichotillomania herself, Aneela has been able to turn her company into a successful business and has managed to create a supportive community for its users.
