AN ARTISTE TURNED ENTREPRENEUR, AMAN THADANI TELLS KASHIKA BINDRANI GARERA HOW HE MOVED ON FROM A CAREER IN DANCING AND FOUND HIS CALLING IN THE BOUTIQUE DISTILLERY INDUSTRY

"There is nothing more satisfying than having danced for hours on end to music that resonates with you," shares Aman Thadani, Director of Business Development at Fullarton Distilleries Pvt. Ltd., who spent most of his early life pursuing dance on a professional level. The artiste turned entrepreneur now spends most of his time developing unique alcoholic concoctions.

From an early age, Aman had an affinity for the performing arts. He was awarded a scholarship at a Mumbai-based academy, where he excelled in contemporary, jazz and ballet. Soon after, he started teaching the art forms and also got accepted into a prestigious dance program in the United States. In 2013, however, his journey came to an abrupt halt. "Unfortunately, five months before I was to leave for the program, I ended up with a knee injury that led to the end of my pursuit of dance."

While recovering from his injury, Aman was looking for a new career opportunity. This aligned perfectly with the initiation of Fullarton Distilleries, a project launched by the Thadani family. As a 20-year-old post-graduate from the Henley Business School, UK, Aman saw an opportunity to create a niche for himself in the alco-bev space. "Most of my learning happened on the job. I was fortunate enough to have dialogues with people who had an enormous wealth of experience," he shares.
