Abracadabra! Apple is working on a new Magic Mouse with proper charging

Don't expect it till 2026, though.
When Apple updated its lineup of Magic Mac accessories (fave.co/3CjgeRd) in November, we didn't get the redesign we were hoping for. All that changed was the Lightning ports, which were swapped out with USB-C ones. Everything else remained the same, including the Magic Mouse's wonky upside-down charging.
With no significant updates since 2015, we assumed the Magic Mouse was forever doomed to charge through its belly. However, a rumor from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claims that Apple is actually working on a new Magic Mouse to finally address its critics' "longstanding complaints."
