When Britney Spears married Sam Asghari in 2022, her dreams had come true. “Fairy tales are real,” she captioned a video from their June wedding day, which took place six months after a judge ended the conservatorship led by her father, Jamie Spears, 71, that controlled her life for more than 13 years. Sam chimed in, calling their special day so perfect, it was “out of a movie.”

Now it’s all turned into a nightmare. On Aug. 16, the trainer and actor, 29, filed for divorce after 14 months of marriage and six years as a couple. In the days that followed, Britney’s behavior sparked increasing concern as she posted social media videos of herself dancing in bikini bottoms and a thong, writhing around topless in bed, and having her leg licked by a mystery man alongside a rambling post about driving an hour for chicken. “There are many red flags,” says an insider, noting that loved ones are worried the singer, 41, “is caught in a dangerous spiral as she surrounds herself with people who may not have her best interests at heart.”
