They say not all heroes wear capes, and Tom Holland proves that point – not just because his superhero character, SpiderMan, forgoes that accessory. Off screen, the 28-year-old actor is fiercely protective of his girlfriend, Zendaya.

Although the couple remain as private as they can in their relationship, it’s not rare to see them in public together. “It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now,” Zendaya, 28, told Elle in August 2023 about dating in the spotlight.

A couple of months earlier, in June that year, Tom Holland told The Hollywood Reporter, “Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”

Holland, has admitted that Zendaya, who plays Peter Parker’s love interest, MJ, in his Spider-Man movies, was his childhood celebrity crush. And now they are together in real life, he takes the role of protective boyfriend very seriously.
