Kevin Federline has shared his concerns for ex-wife Britney Spears in a new memoir, claiming the decision to release her from her conservatorship four years ago may have been ill-advised and that he fears the singer's situation is “racing towards something irreversible”.

“It’s become impossible to pretend everything's OK. From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we're getting close to the 11th hour,” The New York Times revealed he has written in You Thought You Knew. “Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces.”
