In the same way that we create layers and depth within living and dining rooms, so too can we achieve this with our outdoor entertaining spaces. With thanks to the incredible array of outdoor fabrics now available, including velvets, bouclés and linens, and the trend for designing outside tables and chairs to look like indoor furniture, the garden can be treated like an additional room of the home. I take the same approach to styling the exterior as I would the interiors, creating a natural flow from inside to outside that echoes the same style and spirit of the house. The garden can be so much more than patches of grass and paving.
