FAYT THE LABEL IS THE LATEST IN A LONG LIST OF THIS ENTREPRENEUR'S BUSINESS IDEAS

- Emma Levett

MEANT TO BE

Brittney Saunders was one of the internet's original influencers. But long before she found fame as a teen YouTuber, talking all things life, fashion and beauty, the schoolgirl from Newcastle was a young entrepreneur.

"I had a spray-tanning business, I sold makeup and I decorated phone cases for a while," Brittney, now 32, tells WHO. "I made coffee scrubs, I attempted a lot of businesses - so getting into fashion wasn't some grand idea, it was just the next thing I decided to have a go at."

The difference with Brittney's size-inclusive fashion brand, Fayt (pronounced fate) the Label, which she launched in 2017, was that she already had a huge online audience and potential customer base.

image"It was a massive advantage. But just because you know how to be an influencer, that doesn't mean you know how to run a business or scale a business," she says.
