The collapse of her seemingly secure marriage to David Harbour has forced Lily Allen to check herself into a $15,000-a-week trauma facility in the US after admitting, “I’ve been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it’s got out of control,” on her BBC podcast on January 9.

She elaborated, telling her Miss Me? listeners, “I’m really not in a good place … I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard.”

But the 39-year-old, who has battled addiction since a young age, made it clear she was still sober.

“You’re not going to hear me for a few weeks,” she said. “I do want to reassure people, because there will be speculation because of the amount of time that I’m going to be taking away, that I’m going to drug rehab – and I’m not. I’ve not relapsed.”
