THE STAR BRINGS BACK BUMP FOR THE LAST TIME WITH A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS MOVIE

- Kylie Walters

Fans thought they had bid farewell to the extended Chalmers-Davis family when the fifth and final season of Bump went to air in December 2024, but Claudia Karvan had other plans. The actress and series co-creator has managed to do the impossible: bring her character, Angie, back from the dead in a realistic and heartwarming way.

A new festive-themed feature-length special takes place between Episodes 9 and 10 of Season 5, when Angie was alive and well, having yet to lose her battle against cancer, and the group went on a Christmas cruise to Colombia.

"We did have a little Easter egg moment where we slipped a photo in of everyone on the cruise in the last season," Karvan, 53, tells WHO. "Coming back together for a Christmas movie just felt like the greatest gift."

imageGiven there was a real sense of finality for Angie in the last season, was it hard to slip back into character?

Not at all. It was joyful to breathe life into her again and to go back to a place where she was full of lust for life and zest, and devouring everything she could to a comedic degree.
