THE SUPERSTAR DIDN'T JUST BREAK RECORDS ON THE ERAS TOUR, SHE BOUGHT HER MASTER RECORDINGS WITH THE PROFITS

- Annabel Lane

'It all belongs to me'

While fans have long been on high alert, looking for every possible clue that might eventually lead to the release of Reputation (Taylor's Version), Taylor Swift shocked them all by revealing she had done one better. "All of the music I've ever made ... now belongs ... to me," the singer, 34, shared via a letter posted to her website on May 30.

Indeed, instead of belting out, "Look what you made me do", Swift officially bought the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums - a feat she's been trying to achieve since 2019.

"All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music outright with no strings attached, no partnership [and] with full autonomy," she shared.

Swift went on to reveal that she was able to purchased her music with the profits from The Eras Tour, which brought in over $3 billion in ticket sales. "I can't thank you enough for helping to reunite me with this art that I have dedicated my entire life to," she gushed to her fans.
