ALMOST THREE DECADES LATER, THE MISSING WOMAN'S FAMILY STILL SEARCHES FOR ANSWERS

- • By Kylie Walters

HOLIDAY FROM HELL

It was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime when the Bradley family boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in Puerto Rico on March 21, 1998. But while Ron and Iva, and their grownup children, Brad and Amy, got on the liner for their vacation, only three of them would return home to the US.

Amy, who was then 23, came back to her room after a long night of partying in the nightclub in the early hours of March 24. She was last seen by her father at 5.30am, resting on a chair on their balcony. Half an hour later, she was gone. A search of the ship failed to find any trace of her.

Despite a couple of reported sightings of her over the years in the port of Curaçao, where the ship was in port at the time she disappeared, Amy was legally declared dead in 2010. Her family, however, has never given up hope that she is still alive.

“Since the time of her disappearance, we have continued to search for our daughter and seek answers for finding her,” Iva posted on the International Cruise Victims website. “It is believed that there are certain individuals in the Caribbean, and possibly even in South America, who have knowledge of Amy’s disappearance.”
