THE AUSSIE ACTOR SHINES IN DARK COMEDY RECKLESS

- Olivia Harrowell

Five Minutes With...HUNTER PAGE-LOCHARD

Hunter Page-Lochard is first to admit his character, Charlie, in new dark comedy Reckless hits close to home.

"He's a lovable idiot... very reminiscent of myself," he tells WHO ahead of the series premiere.

In the four-parter, the Aussie actor, 32, plays the Fremantle local whose life unravels after he and his estranged sister (Tasma Walton) accidentally - and fatally - hit someone with their car. Forced to work together to cover it up, the siblings are soon caught in a web of spiralling lies and consequences.

For Page-Lochard, saying yes to the role came easily. Returning to a predominantly Indigenous-led set felt familiar, grounding and collaborative - or, as he puts it, like "going back to the cookout".

Reckless arrives at a time when he's expanding his storytelling and writing, developing projects under his production company, Djali House. A true creative, Page-Lochard keeps his head down and his craft close, trusting the work to speak for itself.

How did you feel when you first read the script for Reckless?
