Tarot card readings on TikTok are trending but is scrolling for your fate really safe?
When it comes to the mystical becoming mainstream, tarot card readings on TikTok - appropriately known as TarotTok - take centrestage.
As the name suggests, TarotTok holds the same ideologies and longed for spiritual guidance as in-person readings, with the major difference being that, instead of sitting across from a psychic, you are doomscrolling on your phone.
Counterintuitive? Yes. But does it work? Well, kind of.
Linda Roberts is a spiritual healer, psychic, clairvoyant, reiki master and author, with more than 35 years of experience in the intuitive and spiritual realm. She has both given online readings and explored the world of tarot readings on TikTok for herself.
Roberts explains that although the online reading space can be flooded with impostors and risks of misinterpretation, there are genuine practitioners who provide authentic insight and meaningful guidance - even through a screen.
Intrigued? Let us explain.
MYSTIC MECHANICS
Despite the barriers and distance that a screen creates, Roberts explains that when connecting with someone, it is possible to tap into their energy or even send healing energy their way.
