Amanda Seyfried - 'I Know How Lucky I Am'
Us Weekly
|December 16, 2024
Gratitude isn't lost on Amanda Seyfried. The actress talks to Us about starting a business, raising kids and living out her blissful farm fantasy

"I'm almost 40. I learned a lot. I still make mistakes, but I'm paying more attention to my mistakes," she says of getting older.
From the outside, Amanda Seyfried has it all: She’s an Emmy-winning actress, co-founder of the sustainable kids’ playhouse line Make It Cute, a mom of two and lives on an idyllic farm in New York’s Hudson Valley. But she doesn’t take any of it for granted. “I know how lucky I am,” admits the Mamma Mia! star, 39, who (like most working moms!) says it takes a village to keep her world running smoothly. “Life is very busy. When you’re a parent, it’s not all beautiful; it’s messy,” she explains. But “help is a text away. You just have to know that it’s OK to ask for it.”
While promoting Make It Cute and their new line of holiday decor kits, Seyfried — she shares daughter Nina, 7, and son Thomas, 4, with husband Thomas Sadoski, 48 — sits down with Us to talk more about parenthood, what it’s really like going into business with friends and why she gave up city life in favor of a more “romantic” backdrop.
How do you go from actress to businesswoman?
