Isaac seems to have lost his family, but he’s fighting to earn back their trust.

Ever since the truth came out about Isaac’s (Jeff-ery Sekele) involvement in Faith (Winnie Ntshaba) murdering her hubby Funani’s (Vusi Kunene) first wife, and stealing baby Ona (Nefisa Mkhabela) 20 years ago, Isaac has lost that tight-knit bond with his “daughter” Ona.

While Isaac seems to be the villain (he kidnapped Ona and raised her as his own, didn’t tell her biological father Funani that his child survived the fire, then covered up Faith’s crime), it could be said that becoming Ona’s dad changed Isaac for the better. “Remember, Faith was Isaac’s girlfriend at the time, and he loved her. So when she needed help, he didn’t hesitate, even if she ended up in Funani’s arms. It was painful but Isaac moved on, and one can even say that finding Ona in the nick of time in that fire and helping her grow into a beautiful, talented young lady, was the silver lining in his storm all those years ago,” Jeffery explains.
