THEY couldn't keep their hands off each other. After announcing best actress in a musical or comedy film during the Jan. 5 Golden Globes, presenter Andrew Garfield helped winner Demi Moore onto the stage, kissing her hand before she delivered an emotional acceptance speech. Later, the Substance star and the British actor embraced in the ballroom of the Beverly Hilton, where they were snapped hands clasped, deep in conversation. Social media went wild. "Get it, Andrew," wrote one commenter. "We need something fun and sexy to look forward to with all of the ugliness in the world," wrote another. "PLEASE GOD LET THIS BE TRUE."

It is. "Andrew has admired Demi for decades, like a lot of guys who grew up watching her in movies like Ghost and Indecent Proposal and G.I. Jane," a source tells Star. "They have mutual friends, but until recently, they've only seen each other at industry events." Cellphone photos taken by a partygoer and seen by Star show the pair getting cozy as far back as September's Toronto International Film Festival, and they've been spotted together near her home in Idaho. (A different source with knowledge of the situation insists there is nothing romantic between the pair, and that Andrew was staying at Demi's after escaping the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.) "Sparks were flying between them behind the scenes," adds the first source. "And people noticed."
