A PASSION FOR HELPING CHILDREN
Royal Britain Presents Royal Life
|Issue 64
The Princess of Wales has long championed the importance of education and ensuring children's lives are enriched from a young age. We report on three recent events including the Chelsea Flower Show-that have brought out the popular Royal's maternal instincts....
-

A new poll recently revealed that the Prince and Princess of Wales are the most popular members of the Royal Family, and the same survey also put the Princess of Wales on top with a 38% score - Prince William had a 34% approval rating.
Those figures probably don’t come as much of a surprise to Royal Life readers, because we all love the beautiful and hard-working mother of three, and it’s great fun putting together features on her public engagements, where she has such wonderfully natural interactions with members of the public - and especially children.
This was certainly the case when she made a surprise visit to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May. The Princess demonstrated her natural flair with children as she joined pupils at the event’s first ever Children’s Picnic, where she revealed why she was not allowed to write her name down!
The Princess met youngsters from ten schools taking part in the RHS Campaign for School Gardening as they sat down to eat, before visiting three of 2023’s Show Gardens with them.
On her first visit to the horticultural show since 2019, the future queen took part in a bug hunt with the school children, helped to plan a home-grown meal and discovered how gardens can support wellbeing.
