They say the best things come to those who wait, and former MAFS UK star Amy Christophers is certainly proof of that. The previously unlucky-in-love star, who failed to find lasting love on the reality show back in 2021, has fallen for Darren Pellow, 43 - a rugby player-turned-businessman who she first crossed paths with 22 years ago. Amy, 39, went public with her new relationship before Christmas, sharing a photo of a bed with the words, “Will you be my girlfriend?” spelled out in rose petals. Amy, congratulations - you seem so loved-up! When did you get together with Darren?

Ah, thank you - I'm so happy! We'd always been friends on Facebook and dropped each other a message occasionally, but we properly rekindled when I joined Hinge a few months ago. Darren popped up and dropped me a message saying, “Oh hello, beautiful Amy, I hope you find your dream man, you really deserve happiness.” I was like, “You could be my dream man! Do you not want to take me out on a date?” He said yes, and the rest is history.

Tell us about the moment he asked you to be his girlfriend...

We're both quite soppy and I was going away the next day skiing, so he said, “I've just got to go and sort something out in the house.” Then he brought me home, showed me into the bedroom and there were all these rose petals that spelt out, “Will you be my girlfriend?” I couldn't believe it. It's honestly the sweetest thing anyone's ever done for me.
