GHISLAINE MAXWELL: THE WOMAN WHO KNOWS TOO MUCH
National Enquirer
|August 11, 2025
SIX years after Jeffrey Epstein’s death inside a federal jail, the full story of what happened to the disgraced financier — and who may be protected by his eternal silence — remains under tight control.
-
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has closed the case, no client list has been released and only one person connected to Epstein — Ghislaine Maxwell — was tried, convicted and imprisoned.
Ghislaine, 63, cannot speak publicly, claiming that each time she’s tried, she’s been punished.
Now, her brother Ian Maxwell is breaking his silence for The National ENQUIRER to allege a widespread judicial and political “fix.”
The siblings talk regularly on the phone, and Ian is the only person who can tell her story.
He claims prosecutors destroyed evidence, allowed jurors to lie and pursued his sister not for justice — but to shield their own failure in letting Epstein die behind bars.
Nicholas V. Biase, chief public information officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, declined to comment on this article.
Now, Ian warns that his sister’s life is in danger and she may never get out alive.
In the months leading up to her 2021 trial, Ghislaine was held in isolation for nearly two years. She was placed under suicide watch despite no psychological history of self-harm, and was denied sleep, food and basic dignity, according to her legal team.
Ian says the treatment wasn’t accidental — it was targeted.
What follows is his account of how the U.S. government chose a scapegoat after Epstein’s death, and how his sister became the patsy of what he calls a “stitch-up” driven by politics, the media and institutional failure. My sister would have loved to write this piece, but she dared not do so. The last time she spoke out publicly, guards dragged her to the SHU (Special Housing Unit) and placed her in solitary confinement.
