Fears for Tom after facial scar sets tongues wagging

CRUISE CANCER TERROR

At the May 15 London premiere of his latest Mission: Impossible flick, Tom showed signs of having undergone surgery to treat skin cancer, according to doctors

SUPERSTAR Tom Cruise is on top of the world with the latest high-flying installment of his Mission: Impossible franchise — but sources reveal that behind the scenes, the silver screen icon is secretly trapped in a terrifying cancer nightmare.

Red carpet spies and trusted medical sources report that the 62-year-old actor is showing subtle signs of having recently undergone a surgical procedure to remove skin cancer from the right side of his sniffer.

“The scar on his nose does carry the signs of the aftermath of Mohs surgery,” says Manhattan internist Dr. Stuart Fischer. “If [the cancer] recurs or spreads, that would require extensive reconstructive surgery to protect his nose and his face — which is a key calling card for his profession. If left unattended it could end his career!”
