POMPOUS Prince Charles and wife Camilla paid a king's ransom to spruce up their sagging mugs, so they'll look fresh-faced on the throne when his monarch mom, Queen Elizabeth, finally kicks the bucket, sources squeal.

"They've spent a small fortune. They're doing all they can to look younger and less worn out. Camilla, especially, has been a regular at the surgeon's office," spills a palace insider.

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cornwall may soon snag their coveted crowns as king and queen consort as ailing Elizabeth, 96, is appearing in public less and less due to ongoing mobility issues.
