More than two years after abruptly moving to America and leaving the royal family, Prince Harry longs to return to England

Everywhere they went, flashbulbs went off. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who left the royal family in 2020 for "a more peaceful life" took NYC by storm in mid-July. "Meghan seemed to be lapping up the attention as he gave a speech at the United Nations and they dined at trendy eateries like Locanda Verde," a source tells Life & Style. But many couldn't help but notice how stonefaced and downright miserable Harry appeared in photo after photo. "Harry, just come home - you look so unhappy," one fan tweeted. Implored another: "Like in American football, take the loss and move forward. #Prince Harry go home, be happy!"

He'd love nothing more, multiple insiders tell Life & Style. Two-and-a-half years after moving to his wife's native California to forge a new life 5,000 miles away from his family, Harry is longing for home. "He wanted to start over and live a quieter life in Montecito away from the cameras, but Meghan is all about fame and money," says one source. "This isn't what he signed up for - it's as if he's living a lie."
