TAKING HER EXPLOSIVE TALENT TO OPPENHEIMER EMILY BLUNT

No matter where her glamorous life takes her, home is where the heart is for Hollywood darling Emily Blunt.

“I’m very prone to guilt – I think all mothers are,” Emily recently confessed on the podcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, about being a busy working mother to Hazel, 9, and Violet, 7, her daughters with husband John Krasinski (The Office). “You’re just prone to feeling bad for, God forbid, wanting something outside of being a mother.”

Since wrapping the star-studded biographical thriller Oppenheimer, in which she portrays the real-life biologist wife of the scientist who architected the atomic bomb, Emily, 40, has happily swapped period costumes for jeans and T-shirts while taking a year-long hiatus from showbiz to cocoon with her family – and give their girls her full attention.

“There are cornerstones to their day that are so important when they’re little,” The Devil Wears Prada star said. “And it’s, ‘Will you wake me up? Will you take me to school? Will you pick me up? Will you put me to bed?’ I just need to be there for all of them for a good stretch. I just felt that in my bones.”

Now that she has more downtime, the London native may sneak in a few episodes of The Great British Bake Off, which she calls her “guilty pleasure,” or hang with her Oppenheimer co-star Matt Damon, his wife, Luciana, and their daughters – the two families live in the same Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment building and have Sunday dinners together. Certainly, it means palling around more with her actor husband, who also happens to be the director and screenwriter of their hit film series A Quiet Place.
