Roan Stone tells us how he's forging his own path with strong support from his movie-star mom - and how she makes a mean burger

STEPPING OUT OF SHARON'S SHADOW

Hollywood royalty, philanthropist and 1990s sex symbol Sharon Stone is one of the best-known actresses of her generation with legions of fans around the world.

But behind the scenes, it's her role as mother to her three children in which she shines most brightly, according to eldest son Roan Bronstein Stone, 25, who counts Sharon and his girl friend (who prefers to keep their relationship private) - among his biggest cheerleaders.

“They really believe in me,” says Roan, whom the Basic Instinct star, 67, adopted in 2000 while married to her second husband, journalist Phil Bronstein (they separated in 2003). “When I went into acting, my mother was very supportive and did all the self-tapes with me and taught me things she knows.”

At the same time, he's grateful for having had the opportunity to “carve his own path,” though it hasn't always been easy.

Beyond the screen credits he's garnered as an actor, producer and director, Roan is a successful media entrepreneur. The brains behind Sweat N Shadow, a Los Angeles-based boutique agency specializing in adult content marketing and creator management, he also serves as CEO of production company Cahuenga Media Group.
