The mom of two opens up about priorities, A-list pals and missing her Marvel family
Fans needn’t worry, Scarlett Johansson isn’t going anywhere. But the in-demand star, 38, who made her feature-film debut at age nine, admits she’s more selective when it comes to picking her projects. It’s a decision that goes hand-in-hand with being a mom to daughter Rose, 8 (whose dad is her ex Romain Dauriac), and son Cosmo, 2 (with her husband of three years, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost, 41). “Your perspective changes,” she said, talking about work-life balance on a recent podcast. “You go, ‘Wait, this job is going to take me away from my family for XYZ…’”
That said, the multi-tasking Black Widow actress, who launched her own skin-care line last year, couldn’t resist teaming up with Adrien Brody and Matt Dillon for Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City (which came out earlier this year). The dramedy saw her go from blond to brunette to play a movie star and was filmed soon after she welcomed her son. “I was able to bring Cosmo on-set!” she told E! News.
Here, Scarlett gets candid about priorities and opens up about her Marvel days and the movie that left her starstruck.
