“It doesn’t matter if you feel fine because cancer can be so silent,” she said. “Go get screened. Go get checked. Don’t wait.”

The 63-year-old mother and grandmother, who underwent a single mastectomy two weeks after a routine mammogram revealed her condition, made her impassioned plea in a new episode of her podcast, Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.

The chat was recorded the day before her operation at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London, which has treated members of the Royal Family for decades, including the Princess Kate and the late Queen.

Sarah, who was reportedly in the ICU for four days following an eight-hour operation, is currently resting at Royal Lodge – the home she shares with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, in Windsor. “The duchess is receiving the best medical care, and her doctors have told her that the prognosis is good,” said a spokesperson. “She is now recuperating with her family.”
