HEADED FOR DIVORCE BEN AND JENNIFER OFFICIALLY PART WAYS AFTER THEIR SECOND TRY AT LOVE

It was billed as "the greatest love story never told," yet the rekindled romance between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck didn't get a fairytale ending.

Following months of speculation that their marriage was on the rocks, the "I'm Gonna Be Alright" singer, 55, filed for divorce from the Gone Girl star, 52, at a Los Angeles courthouse.

Intriguingly, she chose Aug. 20 the second anniversary of their wedding celebration at his 87-acre compound in Savannah, Ga. to go public with the news.

DONE DEAL

Representing herself and with no pre-nuptial agreement in place, Jennifer waived her claim to spousal support and asked the judge to deny it for Ben, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

At the same time, Ben was returning to L.A. from Connecticut with his first wife, Jennifer Garner, 52, where they had helped their eldest daughter, Violet, 18, settle into her freshman year at Yale University. The friendly exes - who were married for 13 years - also share Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

SOLO SUMMERS

As fans began processing the demise of Ben and J.Lo's relationship, there was no denying that the writing was on the wall.

In her court papers, Jennifer - who shares twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony-lists their separation date as April 26, less than two weeks before she surprisingly arrived at the 2024 Met Gala without Ben by her side.
