Anna Faris talks family, household chores and feeling grateful

- MARRISKA FERNANDES

FUNNY GIRL

This year is a reminder to take nothing for granted," says Anna Faris, 48 - and she's living by those words.

Following the devastating loss of her home in the recent Los Angeles wildfires, the actress is staying positive, focusing on family and forging ahead with new projects.

A new ambassador for Scrubbing Bubbles, she's also cleaning up career-wise, filming a hilarious new movie with A-list co-stars including The White Lotus's Leslie Mann.

"I didn't think comedy would be where I landed. I was a really serious kid," admits Anna, who shares a son, Jack, 12, with ex Chris Pratt, and two stepkids with her current husband, cinematographer Michael Barrett.

Here, Anna gives Hello! Canada a life update and tells us what's bringing her joy these days.

MISSING HOME

We lost our home in January in the L.A. wildfires, and it really was a destabilizing, surreal, jarring event. We're one of thousands - so definitely not alone. We feel really grateful that we're all unscathed physically, and the kids are handling it really well, but it is suddenly like, "Oh, OK. So wait, where do we live?"
