The iconic designer and his wife invite Hello! inside their luxurious Palm Beach mansion

When it comes to American fashion royalty, the name Hilfiger has always been associated with style, substance and staying power.

And today, in the private enclave of Palm Beach, Fla. where pastel mansions line the seafront Tommy and Dee Hilfiger open the doors to their exquisitely restored Coral House on Billionaires' Row for Hello!'s exclusive photoshoot and interview.

The couple, who celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary on Dec. 12, are well-matched when it comes to creativity. Tommy, 74, serves as principal designer at the eponymous global brand he founded in 1985, while former model Dee, 59, has her own homeware line, Mrs. H. She is also creative director and co-owner of designer-bag brand Judith Leiber, which has released collaborations with Katy Perry and the Kardashian-Jenner family.

Tommy and Dee first met through mutual friends at a beach club in Saint-Tropez in 2005. She'd been raising her two sons in Monte Carlo, while he was vacationing in the south of France. Friendship blossomed, a long-distance courtship followed and they wed three years later.

BLENDED FAMILY

Together, they have seven children: Tommy's four from his previous marriage, including daughter Ally (who starred in the MTV reality series Rich Girls); Dee's sons, Julian and Alex, from her first marriage to Italian tennis pro Gianni Ocleppo; and the couple's son, Sebastian, now 16.

They've lived everywhere from Manhattan and Mustique to Connecticut and Miami a journey that's documented in the couple's new coffee-table book, Hilfiger Homes.
