Reliving the early days of their courtship, Prince William and Kate celebrate their wedding anniversary in Scotland
Bringing back blissful memories of the carefree early days of their relationship, the Prince and Princess of Wales looked relaxed and happy as they marked a special milestone on the Isle of Mull.
It was their first official overnight trip together since 2023 and their only getaway since the princess's cancer diagnosis and successful treatment last year. Fourteen years after their fairytale wedding at Westminster Abbey, Prince William and Princess Kate celebrated their anniversary amid the breathtaking scenery of the remote Hebridean island.
SPECIAL MEMORIES
It was a chance for the royal couple - known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when they're in Scotland - to reconnect with a place they love and spend some precious time alone together, more than 20 years since they first enjoyed a long weekend break there while studying at the University of St. Andrews in Fife.
"It was 2003 when we were here. We had a lovely time - it's wonderful," remarked William as they arrived in the seaside town of Tobermory.
"We came here for a weekend with some friends," he later revealed, with Kate adding that they had visited a waterfall.
"I brought home some watercolours and they're now in the bedroom on either side of the bed in Norfolk," she said. "I love collecting things and memories away from home."William joked that he may have indulged in "one or two ciders" during their previous trip, making Kate laugh.
