A-listers flock to London for this year's Fashion Awards, dressing to the nines for the British industry's biggest night
It's the night that showcases the best of British style, with A-list stars from all over the world flying into London to make an appearance. Feted as the UK's answer to the Met Gala, the Fashion Awards were as fabulous as ever, with elegant celebrities dressing in the finest of couture to step out on the special navy carpet at the Royal Albert Hall last week.
Kylie Minogue sparkled in a white layered dress with a handkerchief hem by Jonathan Anderson for Dior, teamed with a necklace from A Sinner in Pearls, while the supermodel Iman wore a dress by Harris Reed as she presented an award to her friend, the stylist Sam Woolf.
"[Harris] has such a poetic eye, and designs from a place of storytelling. This dress feels to me sculptural, like wearable art," said Iman, who also sported lab-grown diamonds by Pandora.
UNIQUE CELEBRATION Sharon Stone was one of the big names in attendance, arriving with the Italian designer Brunello Cucinelli. Vanessa Williams was elegant in a silver Pamella Roland dress, while Cate Blanchett looked stylish in a tailored coat dress by Sarah Burton for Givenchy.
Putting a traditional British style stamp on the night was Celia Imrie, who commanded attention in a bespoke Gieves & Hawkes three-piece suit. She paired her outfit with a one-off lambswool cloak inspired by the boat cloak worn by Queen Elizabeth for her coronation in 1953."I've never had such a detailed outfit; every single stitch was by hand," Celia said. “How humbling it was to see all that work go into it.”
