The Prince and Princess of Wales look forward to a new chapter in Forest Lodge, the historic property in which they intend to live with their family after becoming King and Queen
-

It may not be a palace, but the Prince and Princess of Wales have finally found their “forever home” as they prepare for their family's future.
Prince William and Kate plan to move with their three children to eight-bedroom Forest Lodge, a Georgian mansion on the Windsor estate, in time for Christmas. And HELLO! understands that they intend to remain there, rather than move into Buckingham Palace, when they eventually become King and Queen.
Although it isn't grand by royal standards, the property is a considerable upgrade on Adelaide Cottage, the four-bedroom house also on the Windsor Estate that the Waleses have called home since they relocated from London three years ago.

Sources say that the move signifies a fresh start for the family, who have dealt with Kate's cancer diagnosis and the death of William's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, while living at Adelaide Cottage. We understand that the couple wanted to “test” Windsor as a location before putting down roots, which they are happy to do now that they are settled in the area.
STARTING AGAIN
“Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind,” a source tells HELLO!. “They are looking forward to creating many happy family memories in their new home.”
Arranged over three floors, Forest Lodge dates back to the 1770s. It has six bathrooms, a tennis court, a grand entrance with a vaulted ceiling and period features including ornate marble fireplaces, Venetian windows and decorative cornices.
