Not everything on TV is as easy as it looks. Take John Schneider and Tom Wopat's weekly dives through the windows of the 1969 Dodge Charger, the General Lee, on The Dukes of Hazzard. “The very first episode,” John tells Closer, “they said, ‘Well, you know the doors don’t open, so you have to climb in the windows.” That became an iconic part of the show — but not without effort. “I would practice because I didn’t want to look like a fool,” he adds. “But the hard thing? Getting out of the car! You’ve got gravity when you jump in. Climbing out without breaking your nose or ripping your belt buckle off is another story.”
